Burnout Coaching
Sometimes we feel stuck. If you have found yourself saying, I need to do “X” but don’t know why I can’t, or I am just not motivated to do “x” even though I know it’s good for me. We have habitual ways of being and patterns that are often hard to “unstick”. Working with an embodied approach (working with the body and our thoughts) Kandis Lock, N.D. will help you build strategies to get “unstuck” to help you achieve success in your goals whether they be health goals or life goals.
Examples of things that Kandis Lock, N.D. helps with:
- Work– life balance: Setting boundaries, saying a kind no, over-giving syndrome
- Life purpose – looking for what makes you tingle with excitement and brings you joy and meaning
- Stress reduction and nervous system regulation
What is Embodiment and Embodiment Coaching:
Embodiment is most simply put, “how you are”. It’s your subjective experience of how you relate to others and the world using your body as a guide. Our body gives us clues into our habits, patterns and ways of being. When we start to become aware of how we hold our body in particular situations we then are able to shift and make a new choice.
For example, we can look at our hand as an object, “this is a hand”. Or we can look at it subjectively as part of ourselves. This is a hand that gave high fives on the soccer field, that help a baby, that wiped tears from a loved ones eyes. And how you hold that hand, shake another hand, and use it in your life says a lot about your patterns.
In embodiment coaching we discuss your goals, we find out what you “do” in your body when you are talking or thinking about a topic. We may put you into postures to reveal patterns as well.
Our body is a magnificent and resourceful place to learn about how and why we do the things we do.
